Got Shotz Photography - the Un-Studio

Debbie doesn't need a lot of space - a regular sized living room or dining room
will be big enough.  We can use the garage or any room with about an open area of
8 x 10'.  You won't see any of your house in the portrait, it's just like a regular studio
setting but with the benefits of having your closet and accessories right there

I want to make your experience an enjoyable one.  I will listen to your needs and ideas for your portraits.
I believe by bringing out your  personality (or your child’s) I can capture that “look” that only you have.

I love to experiment with new poses and different lighting techniques,
so let’s talk about what you want before your session.

TIPS and HINTS  for the perfect portrait:

Babies and children—They require a lot of patience.  I believe in giving them enough time to relax, get acquainted
and even play a little before or during their sessions.  If they enjoy their time, it will show in their images.  You can’t
rush or force a child’s smile!   Including a favorite toy or blanket, a book, hat or sibling will make the portrait more
personal.  The biggest benefit of bringing the studio to you is that your baby will feel completely comfortable.
Most children hate changing clothes so don’t expect them to suddenly love it during a portrait session.  Let’s get
them happy and keep them happy!!   In fact, stripped down babies,  wrapped only in a blanket,  makes a
beautiful and simple portrait.

Families or couplesDress in similar tones.  Try to avoid stripes or plaid and bare shoulders.
Medium to dark tones of blue, green, brown, rust or burgundy are the best colors to be
photographed in.  Haircuts should be done at least 1 week before your session.

Seniors—Choose a variety of clothing.  Medium to dark solid colors are best.  Try to avoid large
stripes, plaids and bare shoulders as these tend to take the eye away from your face and also make
you look heavier.  However, do have at least one outfit that breaks these rules if it is something you
really love and reflects your personality.  Choose anything and everything that interests you. Sports
uniforms, musical instruments, stuffed animals, pets, saddles, ski equipment-- whatever you are into
right now to make your portraits more personal.  Include a friend or parent to help you and keep you
relaxed  and  happy.  Debbie will work with you to customize your portraits.  Together we will find
the perfect settings in which to photograph you.

General tips—If you wear glasses, get a pair of empty frames from your optometrist.  It will eliminate
the problems of glare, dark tints,  and distortion that lenses cause.  Some glare can be corrected,
but extra charges may apply.

Keep makeup natural, not heavy.  We want to see you- not an unnatural copy of you!
